She made it home!

We had some very good news this morning. Sofia went in to visit Quincee and her latest platelet count was at 134 (up from 75 at her last count). Sofia managed to talk them into letting her come home today. So we were able to check out an hour ago and finally have this baby home. We have to take her back to get checked in the morning and probably for a few more days but at least we can keep her home in the mean time.

Thanks for all your kind wishes and thoughts.

Hi Keeley and Sofia. This is Becky (Robert Etchells wife) Sofia's cousin. I am so glad to hear that the baby is doing better. We sure have been praying and thinking of you often. Just know that through all the terrible struggles you are going through you are being tremendous examples of strength and faith to so many. I don't think you will ever begin to know how many lives you have touched. Our youngest was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalous when I was 5 months pregnant. Boy, did that rock our world. But after a while life started to take on a "new" normal, and we pushed along with a great deal of faith. I am so grateful for all the little "tender Mercies" we recieved daily, and I am also glad that I was able to notice them when life was so crazy. Hang in there! Love, Robert and Becky Etchells

Sofia - My mom has been updating me for months on your story. First off let me say how sorry I am that you have had to go through such a difficult situation. My heart broke when I first heard your story. I can't imagine all the different emotions you have experienced through it all. I have been praying for you and your little one. I pray that your baby girl will be healthy and that you will be able to soon recover from this terrible cancer.

I am sorry that it has taken me this long to show concern for you and your situation. I have thought of you often but haven't taken the time to let you know that I cared. Please forgive me. I am grateful for this blog so that I can hear the updates. Keep them coming. Thanks to your husband for posting them.

You will continue to be in my prayers. -Kendra (Davis)

I am so happy you got to take Quincee home. I cant imagine leaving my baby at the hospital. I met two of your sweeties at Kiely's wedding reception. They are soooo adorable. I talked to Cambrie for a little while in the nursery. She told me all about her new baby, and told me all your kids names. She told me she went on splash mountain and that matter horn was broken. She was so fun to talk to.
Keely I hate to tell you this but those two sweeties are all Dissel, and Cambrie is Sofia jr. I loved visiting with them. I felt like I got to catch up a little with Sofia.
Oh the best was when she had already played with all the Lazenby and Etchells kids for about an hour and then I told her that all the kids in this room are your cousins. She looked at me really surprised and giggled really loud. I don't think think she believed me. She was so cute, did I already say that?
